United ended up losing 1-0 and crashed out of the competition at the group stage whereas Bayern topped the group and advanced alongside Copenhagen.

United's Champions League campaign proved to be a disastrous one. Manager Erik ten Hag is fighting to keep his job and the future, at present, looks bleak. The Red Devils seem further away from winning trophies this season, too.

WHAT NEXT FOR UNITED AND KANE?
Ten Hag's team now face a daunting trip to Premier League leaders Liverpool on Sunday. They lost 7-0 to the Reds the last time they went to Anfield – a result they will want to avoid repeating. Kane, meanwhile, will be hoping to add to his insane tally of 30 goal contributions this term when Bayern host Stuttgart on Sunday.
